Melexis MLX90393 Triaxis® Micropower Magnetometer offers a 16-bit output proportional to the magnetic flux density sensed along the XYZ axis and a temperature output signal. These digital values are available via I2C and SPI, where the MLX90393 is a slave on the bus. The MLX90393 series can be reprogrammed to different modes along with different settings at run-time. Duty cycles can be achieved in the range of 0.1% to 100% which makes the sensor ideal for micropower applications. The MLX90393 series rely on the Melexis proprietary Triaxis technology. By selecting which axis are to be measured, the raw data can be used as input for further post-processing, such as joystick applications, rotary knobs, linear strokes and complex 3D position sensing applications.
The Melexis MLX90393 Triaxis Micropower Magnetometer is offered in compact QFN-16 and UTDFN-8 package, ideal for space-constrained applications.
