Analog Devices Inc. DC2435A Board for LTC7813 Boost Buck Controller
Analog Devices Inc. DC2435A Demonstration Boards are designed to evaluate the features and performance of the LTC7813 Synchronous Boost Buck Controllers. Analog Devices DC2435A Demonstration Boards feature Demonstration Circuit DC2435A with the LTC7813EUH. The LTC7813EUH is a high-performance dual-output (buck and boost) synchronous DC-DC switching regulator controller. The circuit has a drop-in layout where the total circuit area is 1.5" x 1.5" and provides a step-up/down power supply to the device under evaluation.DC2435A-A and DC2435A-B Demonstration Boards
The LTC7813 buck input is supplied from the boost output for the DC2435A-A and DC2435A-B demonstration boards only. With this boost-then-buck topology, the buck outputs maintain regulation over the entire input range of 4V to 56V, making it ideal for automotive or other battery-fed applications where a low quiescent current is important.
DC2435A-B Demonstration Board
The DC2435A-B Demonstration Board is designed so that the VOUT is partially regulated between 20V and 28V for higher efficiency, reduced power loss, and switching noise. When VIN is between 20V and 28V, the DC2435A-B Demonstration Board operates in pass-through mode with the boost synchronous FET fully on and the buck in drop-out with >99% duty cycle. When VIN is below 20V, the boost is activated and when VIN is above 28V, the buck is activated.
