Analog Devices EVAL-ADRF5130 Evaluation Board is a fully populated, RO4350-based evaluation board constructed of an 8-layer material for thermal management. The top copper layer provides all RF and dc traces. The other seven layers offer good grounding and help handle the thermal rise on the evaluation board caused by the high power of the ADRF5130. Via holes are located around the transmission lines and under the exposed pad of the package for proper thermal grounding. RF transmission lines on the ADRF5130 evaluation board from Analog Devices use a coplanar waveguide design with an 18mil width and a ground spacing of 13mil.
