Adafruit 3928 CRICKIT for Micro:bit

Adafruit 3928 Creative Robotics and Interactive Construction Kit (CRICKIT) is an add-on to the BBC's micro:bit that allows to #MakeRobotFriend using build-friendly Robots or Arduino. The micro-bit can be plugged into the 40-pin edge connector and start controlling motors, servos, and solenoids. This kit board add-on requires only two data pins to control the huge number of inputs and outputs. This CRICKIT is powered by a seesaw and I2C-to-whatever bridge firmware, so only two data pins are required to control the huge number of inputs and outputs. This 3928 add-on is RoHS compliant.

Features

  • Add-on to the BBC's micro:bit that allows #MakeRobotFriend using MakeCode or Arduino
  • Use two data pins to control the huge number of inputs and outputs on the CRICKIT
  • Timers, PWMs, and sensors are offloaded to the co-processor

Kit Contents

  • 4x Analog or Digital servo control, with precision 16-bit timers
  • 2x Bi-directional brushed DC motor control, 1A current-limited each, with 8-bit PWM speed control (or one stepper)
  • 4x High current "Darlington" 500mA drive outputs with kick-back diode protection.
  • 4x Capacitive touch input sensors with alligator-pads
  • 8x Signal pins, can be used as digital in/out or analog inputs
  • 1x NeoPixel driver with 5V level shifter - this is connected to micro:bit pin #16, so you can use MakeCode's built-in NeoPixel control
  • 1x Class D, 4Ω - 8Ω speaker, and 3W (maximum) audio amplifier - this is connected to micro:bit pin #1 is the default audio output
